JASON A. KESSLER

Jason A. Kessler is the writer / director of the award-winning short film Death by Script. His screenplay about the artist M.C. Escher was featured on the 2018 Black List. Jason has worked as a writers' assistant for HBO for a Game of Thrones prequel created by Max Borenstein, and for CBS on Seasons 5 and 6 of the show Madam Secretary. He recently worked in the writers' room of an upcoming limited series for Apple Studios.

Jason earned a screenwriting MFA from UT Austin where he was the recipient of the Robert Foshko Prize in Screenwriting. Before film school, Jason was a lawyer in New York focused on advertising and entertainment clients, and he also worked as a tech executive and management consultant. Jason studied neuroscience and computer science at Princeton University, and graduated with highest honors from Columbia Law School.
